Thank you for using Solve My Cube (the "App"). Your privacy matters. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information. In short: Solve My Cube does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
The short version
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not require an account or sign-in.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not send your data to us or to any third party.
- The App works entirely on your device and functions offline.
Camera
Solve My Cube can use your device's camera to scan the colours of your cube. Here is exactly how that works:
- The camera is only active while you are on the scanning screen.
- Camera frames are analysed in real time on your device to detect the sticker colours of each face.
- No photos or videos are saved, uploaded, or shared. Frames are used only for on-device colour detection and are discarded immediately.
- You can use the App without the camera at all by entering your cube's colours manually.
You control camera access through your device's system settings and can revoke it at any time. On iOS you will be asked for permission the first time you use the scan feature.
Information stored on your device
The App saves a small amount of non-personal data locally on your device using your operating system's standard storage — for example, your theme preference (dark or light). This information:
- stays on your device,
- is never transmitted anywhere, and
- is removed if you delete the App.
